The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Valley Center, KS, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Our program empowers selected Fellows through a comprehensive six-month experiential training at our farm, where they immerse themselves in organic food system education, learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, and engage in community-driven projects. With a focus on accessibility, we offer this Fellowship without charging tuition to ensure that all aspiring leaders have the opportunity to participate. After their training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to implement educational initiatives, support farmers markets, and enhance food literacy within schools and communities. The Fellowship not only fosters personal growth but also strengthens ties to regional food systems, promoting healthy food access throughout the community. Applications are open until March each year, with the program running from May to October, inviting passionate individuals to join us in making a tangible impact.
