The Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) program in Topeka, KS, is dedicated to providing compassionate support to patients aged 13 and older who are undergoing treatment for cancer or blood disorders. Our interdisciplinary team, which includes social workers, nutritionists, child life specialists, nurses, and physicians, is committed to addressing the unique challenges faced by adolescents and young adults during their treatment journey. We prioritize open communication and welcome feedback from patients and their families to continuously enhance our care. Our comprehensive services range from clinical treatment to essential support like nutrition planning, fertility counseling, and emotional support, ensuring that our patients navigate their healthcare with confidence and dignity. As patients transition into adult care after age 21, we collaborate with adult Hematology and Oncology providers to ensure a seamless continuation of support tailored to their needs.
