The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Tonganoxie, KS, is a transformative program designed to empower individuals passionate about advancing a just food system. Our initiative provides comprehensive education in organic food systems, equipping Fellows to become proactive teachers and advocates for food justice. We believe in accessibility, which is why we do not charge tuition for our fellowship. Participants engage in hands-on experiences at our farm campus and collaborate with local partners to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement health education sessions, and foster community gardens. Additionally, we emphasize the importance of integrating food and ecological literacy into educational settings and support local farmers' markets and direct-to-consumer food initiatives. The fellowship spans six months of immersive learning followed by a Community Action Year, where Fellows apply their skills with regional non-profits. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
