MOVE! Weight Management Program

MOVE! Weight Management Program, located in Shawnee, KS, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through a comprehensive approach to weight management and health promotion. Our mission is to screen every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities for obesity annually and provide tailored referrals to effective weight management services. We offer a variety of options including group sessions, personalized telephone lifestyle coaching, and our innovative TeleMOVE! program, which enables in-home messaging and clinician support. Veterans can also manage their weight independently with the MOVE! Coach mobile app or explore medical options such as weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for ongoing challenges with weight-related issues. Services may vary by facility, so we encourage Veterans interested in embarking on this journey to connect with their local MOVE! Coordinator or a VA provider to get started on a path toward healthier living.
