Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Sabetha, KS, empowers passionate individuals to become advocates for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. Through an immersive, hands-on training experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus in Highland County, VA, selected fellows engage in organic food system education without any tuition fees, ensuring accessibility for all. Fellows will explore diverse opportunities such as growing and distributing crops, implementing innovative health care education, maintaining community gardens, and enhancing food literacy in schools. They will also support farmers markets, develop distribution channels for healthy foods, and collaborate with local non-profits during their Community Action Year. This fellowship uniquely combines practical experience with community impact, preparing the next generation of food system leaders while increasing access to nutritious food in the region.
