The Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) program in Prairie Village, KS, is dedicated to providing comprehensive support and clinical services to patients aged 13 and older who are undergoing treatment for cancer and blood disorders. Our compassionate team includes social workers, child life specialists, nutritionists, and healthcare providers who work collaboratively with patients and their families to ensure that unique needs are met during this challenging time. AYA aims to create a nurturing environment where feedback is valued, and care is continuously enhanced. We also facilitate a smooth transition to adult care as patients surpass age 21, partnering with adult Hematology/Oncology providers to deliver ongoing support. With services like nutrition planning, fertility counseling, and specialized emotional support, we are committed to optimizing the quality of life for adolescents and young adults facing these health challenges.
