Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA)

The Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) program in Pittsburg, KS, is dedicated to providing comprehensive support for patients aged 13 and older who are undergoing treatment for cancer or blood disorders. Our multidisciplinary team, which includes social workers, nutritionists, nurses, and child life specialists, focuses on the unique challenges faced by adolescents and young adults during their treatment journey. We prioritize the involvement of patients and their families in shaping our services, ensuring that we meet their needs effectively. AYA also offers vital services such as nutrition planning, fertility counseling, and continuous care coordination as patients transition into adult hematology/oncology services after age 21.
