Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Overland Park, KS, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Through a comprehensive training program at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, Fellows gain hands-on experience in organic food production, community engagement, and education aimed at promoting food justice. Participants will learn to grow diversified crops, support local farmers markets, and integrate food and ecological literacy into community initiatives. This immersive six-month fellowship culminates in a Community Action Year where Fellows apply their skills in partnership with local non-profits, fostering healthier food access and impactful community projects. With no tuition fees, the Fellowship prioritizes accessibility for all aspiring leaders passionate about building a fair and resilient food system. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
