Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Ottawa, KS, is dedicated to cultivating socially, environmentally, and economically just food systems through comprehensive training and support for aspiring leaders. We empower our Fellows with a six-month immersive, experiential education at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where they gain hands-on experience in organic food systems and community engagement. Our program promotes accessibility by eliminating tuition fees, allowing individuals to become advocates for sustainable agriculture while working with local non-profit organizations. The Fellowship encompasses a variety of initiatives, including diversified crop cultivation, educational sessions on innovative health care, community and school garden maintenance, and food literacy integration into educational activities. Fellows also contribute to vital community food efforts such as farmers markets and food distribution channels, ensuring that healthy food is accessible to all. Applications are welcomed until March, with the Fellowship experience typically running from May to October, creating a network of passionate advocates for healthy food systems.
