Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Osage City, KS, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders who advocate for a just food system that prioritizes social equity, environmental sustainability, and economic viability. This transformative program offers aspiring Fellows the opportunity to engage in comprehensive organic food system education without the burden of tuition, ensuring accessibility for all. Throughout their six-month, hands-on experience at AMI’s Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows engage in diverse initiatives, from growing and distributing crops on market-style farms to implementing innovative health education sessions, maintaining community gardens, and integrating food literacy into educational settings. Participants also enhance their community impact during a Community Action Year, working alongside regional nonprofit organizations to promote healthy food access, support local farmers markets, and foster community food coalitions. Applications for this invaluable experience are open until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
