Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA)

The Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) program in Newton, KS, is dedicated to providing comprehensive support and clinical services for patients aged 13 and older who are undergoing treatment for cancer or blood disorders. Our compassionate team consists of experienced social workers, child life specialists, nutritionists, physicians, nurses, and nurse practitioners, all committed to addressing the unique needs of young patients and their families. We take pride in fostering a collaborative environment where patient feedback is valued, ensuring continuous improvement in the quality of care we deliver. Our services encompass nutrition planning, fertility counseling, and specialized emotional support, all aimed at helping AYA patients navigate their treatment journey with dignity and care. As patients transition into adult care after age 21, we maintain close collaboration with adult Hematology/Oncology providers to ensure they continue receiving comprehensive support.
