Joanna Bjerum understands the importance of a space where individuals can be real and vulnerable. She creates an environment that welcomes laughter, swearing, tears, and any other emotions clients may carry with them; everything belongs in her therapeutic space. Joanna is committed to being present for her clients, regardless of where they find themselves. She believes that the most impactful therapeutic work occurs within the clinician-client relationship and strives to ensure that this connection is genuine, authentic, and honest. She embraces a flexible approach by integrating various therapeutic modalities, allowing therapy to flow within the safe boundaries of the therapeutic relationship. Joanna is dedicated to getting to know each individual, so together they can discover the best path forward. In her practice, she never encourages clients to minimize their struggles or simply seek the silver lining, as she recognizes that sometimes, hard things are difficult regardless of how they are framed. However, Joanna also believes that with a few insightful shifts, clients can begin to view their challenges in a new light.
