Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA)

The Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) program in McPherson, KS is dedicated to providing comprehensive care and support for patients aged 13 and older who are undergoing treatment for cancer and blood disorders. We understand that navigating these challenges is not easy, which is why our multidisciplinary team, including social workers, child life specialists, nutritionists, and healthcare providers, is committed to addressing the unique needs of adolescents and young adults. We offer a range of services tailored to support both patients and their families, including clinical services, nutrition planning, fertility counseling, and emotional support from our experienced staff. As patients transition to adult care after age 21, we ensure continuity by collaborating with adult Hematology/Oncology providers, keeping the focus on the individual needs of each patient. We place great importance on family involvement and consistently seek feedback to enhance the quality of care we provide, ensuring a supportive and nurturing environment for our patients during their treatment journey.
