In Maize, Kansas, Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is committed to enhancing the health and nutrition of low-income women, infants, and children under five years old. Our program focuses on providing vital food assistance and nutrition education to community residents facing medical and nutritional risks. Through WIC, participants receive supplemental food vouchers for healthy groceries, personalized nutrition education aimed at improving family eating habits, and referrals to local health and community services for additional support. We also offer free breastfeeding support and education classes to empower new mothers. To access our services, new clients can contact the WIC Call Center to arrange a health examination appointment. Please note that in response to COVID-19, all WIC appointments are being conducted over the phone to ensure safety.
