Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA)

Located in Lenexa, KS, the Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) program is dedicated to supporting patients aged 13 and older who are undergoing treatment for cancer and blood disorders. Our compassionate and skilled team includes social workers, child life specialists, nutritionists, physicians, nurses, and nurse practitioners, all working together to address the unique needs of adolescents and young adults facing these challenges. We emphasize the importance of family involvement in the healing process and actively seek feedback to continually enhance our services. Our offerings encompass a range of support, including specialized emotional and psychological care, nutrition planning, fertility counseling, and comprehensive transition assistance for those moving to adult Hematology/Oncology care after age 21. At AYA, we are committed to providing a nurturing environment where young patients feel understood, supported, and empowered throughout their journey.
