Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Leavenworth, KS, is dedicated to empowering individuals to advocate for a food system that is fair and sustainable for all. Through our no-cost program, we provide comprehensive training in organic food system education and facilitate hands-on experiences at our farm. Fellows gain practical knowledge as they work on diverse projects such as growing and distributing crops, implementing health education sessions, maintaining community gardens, and enhancing ecological literacy in schools. By supporting farmers markets and developing strategies for increased access to healthy food, our Fellows play a crucial role in strengthening local food systems. Over a transformative six-month residency at our farm, followed by a Community Action Year, participants collaborate with regional non-profits to apply their skills, fostering long-lasting community impact and advocating for socially, environmentally, and economically just food practices.
