Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA)

The Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) program in Lawrence, KS, is dedicated to supporting patients aged 13 and older who are undergoing treatment for cancer and blood disorders. Our compassionate and specialized team, which includes social workers, child life specialists, nutritionists, and healthcare providers, is committed to delivering comprehensive clinical services tailored to the unique needs of this age group. We focus on providing essential support such as nutrition planning, fertility counseling, and resources from experienced clinicians to ensure that each patient and their family feels empowered and heard throughout the treatment journey. As patients transition to adult care after age 21, we collaborate with adult Hematology/Oncology providers, ensuring continuous support and care.
