Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Kingman, KS, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. This unique program empowers Fellows through comprehensive experiential education in organic farming practices, enabling them to grow and distribute a diverse range of crops on market-style farms while fostering community engagement. During their six-month residency at the Allegheny Farm, participants develop crucial skills in food and ecological literacy, implement innovative health education sessions, and support local initiatives like farmers markets and community gardens. Following their fellowship, they embark on a Community Action Year where they apply their knowledge and expertise in collaboration with regional non-profits, all without the burden of tuition fees to enhance accessibility. Applications are open until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October, welcoming passionate individuals eager to effect positive change in our food systems.
