The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Hillsboro, KS, is dedicated to cultivating educators and advocates who champion a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. This program offers a transformative six-month residency at Allegheny Farm, where selected Fellows engage in hands-on education about organic food systems, participate in the growth and distribution of diverse crops, and work on initiatives that enhance community health. Our Fellows gain invaluable experience in implementing food literacy within schools, supporting farmers' markets, and facilitating access to healthy food through innovative distribution channels. By not charging tuition, we promote accessibility to this empowering Fellowship, allowing passionate individuals to contribute meaningfully to regional food initiatives. Applications are welcomed until March each year, with the experience running from May to October, enabling participants to make a positive impact in their communities.
