Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Haysville, KS US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Haysville, KS, is dedicated to cultivating passionate advocates for a just and sustainable food system. By empowering selected Fellows through hands-on organic food system education, our program fosters practical skills and deep knowledge in social, environmental, and economic aspects of food production. The Fellowship offers a unique opportunity for students to engage in diversified crop production, educational initiatives in health care, and community gardening projects while promoting food and ecological literacy. Over six months, Fellows experience immersive training at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they actively partner with regional non-profit organizations to integrate their learning into real-world applications. We strive to make this program accessible by not charging tuition, ensuring that aspiring advocates from all backgrounds can join us in transforming local food systems. Interested applicants are encouraged to complete their applications by March for a transformative experience running from May to October.
