Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA)

The Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) program in Hays, KS, is dedicated to providing comprehensive support for patients aged 13 and older who are undergoing treatment for cancer or blood disorders. Our compassionate team, which includes social workers, nutritionists, child life specialists, nurses, and physicians, is committed to addressing the unique needs of adolescents and young adults during this challenging time. We offer a range of services, including personalized nutrition planning, fertility counseling, and extensive emotional support, ensuring that patients and their families feel supported every step of the way. As patients transition into adult care after age 21, we collaborate with adult Hematology/Oncology providers to maintain continuity of care. Continuous feedback from patients and families is integral to our mission of enhancing the quality of services we provide. At AYA, we strive to create an environment rooted in understanding and support for both patients and their loved ones as they navigate the complexities of their treatment journey.
