Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA)

The Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) program in Girard, KS, is dedicated to providing compassionate support and comprehensive care for patients ages 13 and older who are undergoing treatment for cancer and blood disorders. Our experienced team, which includes social workers, child life specialists, nutritionists, and medical professionals, focuses on the unique needs of adolescents and young adults during this critical time. We offer a range of services such as specialized clinical care, nutrition planning, and fertility counseling, while placing a strong emphasis on family involvement and feedback to enhance the quality of our services. As patients transition to adult healthcare post-21, we coordinate with adult Hematology/Oncology providers to ensure continuity of care. At AYA, we are committed to fostering a supportive environment that empowers both patients and their families throughout the treatment journey.
