Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA)

The Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) program in Fort Scott, KS, is dedicated to providing comprehensive support for young patients aged 13 and older who are undergoing treatment for cancer or blood disorders. Our multidisciplinary team includes medical professionals, social workers, child life specialists, nutritionists, and other dedicated specialists, all working together to address the unique needs of adolescents and young adults facing these health challenges. We emphasize a patient-centered approach, engaging families in care planning and actively seeking their feedback to enhance our services. In addition to medical care, we offer vital resources such as nutrition planning, fertility counseling, and emotional support, ensuring that our patients receive compassionate, personalized care as they transition into adulthood and connect with adult Hematology/Oncology providers.
