Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA)

At the Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) program in Fort Riley, KS, we are dedicated to supporting patients aged 13 and older who are undergoing treatment for cancer and blood disorders. Our compassionate team, including social workers, child life specialists, nutritionists, physicians, and nurses, focuses on delivering tailored clinical services and comprehensive support that address the unique needs of adolescents and young adults. We understand the importance of family involvement and continuously seek input from our patients and their families to enhance the quality of care. Through specialized services such as nutrition planning, fertility counseling, and emotional support, we ensure that our patients not only receive effective medical treatment but also the care and encouragement they need during their journey. As patients transition into adult care after age 21, we work closely with adult Hematology/Oncology providers to maintain a seamless support system throughout their ongoing health challenges.
