Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship at Fort Riley, Kansas, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to become passionate advocates and educators for a just and sustainable food system. Through our comprehensive, hands-on program, we offer organic food system education and collaborate with community partners to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health care educational sessions, and maintain school and community gardens. Our Fellows engage in integrating food and ecological literacy into educational settings and supporting local farmers markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives, while also developing channels to enhance access to healthy foods. This immersive fellowship spans six months at the stunning Allegheny Farm Campus, culminating in a Community Action Year where Fellows apply their newfound skills in partnership with regional non-profit organizations. We strive for accessibility by offering this experience tuition-free, ensuring that all passionate individuals can participate.
