Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA)

The Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) program in Emporia, KS, is dedicated to providing comprehensive support for patients aged 13 and older who are undergoing treatment for cancer and blood disorders. Our compassionate team, consisting of social workers, child life specialists, nutritionists, nurses, and physicians, is committed to addressing the unique needs of AYA patients. We offer a range of services including tailored clinical care, nutrition planning, and fertility counseling to ensure each patient feels supported throughout their treatment journey. As patients transition to adult care after age 21, we collaborate closely with adult Hematology/Oncology providers to facilitate a smooth shift while continuously seeking feedback from patients and their families to enhance the quality of our care. At AYA, we believe that the voices of patients and their families are integral to our mission of delivering exceptional support and care in their fight against cancer and blood disorders.
