Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program in Cheney, KS, is dedicated to enhancing the health and nutrition of low-income women, infants, and children up to five years old. By providing nutrition education, WIC empowers families to adopt healthier eating habits and lifestyles. Participants receive supplemental food checks that can be used to purchase essential nutritious foods, ensuring access to vital nourishment. WIC also serves as a bridge to additional community resources and health agencies, offering referrals for further support. Our program includes free breastfeeding support and education classes to assist new mothers. To become a part of this transformative program, new clients can call the WIC Call Center to schedule a health exam. Please note that due to COVID-19, all appointments are conducted by phone to ensure the safety of our community.
