The Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) program in Burlington, KS, is dedicated to providing comprehensive support and specialized care for patients aged 13 and older who are undergoing treatment for cancer or blood disorders. Our passionate team, including social workers, child life specialists, nutritionists, and healthcare providers, is committed to addressing the unique needs of adolescents and young adults during their treatment journey. We offer a range of services tailored to enhance the well-being of our patients and their families, such as nutrition planning, fertility counseling, and emotional support to help navigate the challenges of illness. As patients transition into adult care after age 21, we work closely with adult Hematology/Oncology specialists to ensure continuity of care, constantly seeking feedback to improve the quality of our services.
