The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Beloit, KS, nurtures passionate individuals who are dedicated to advocating for a just and sustainable food system. Our program offers comprehensive education in organic food systems without charging tuition, ensuring that all aspiring Fellows can access this transformative experience. Throughout their journey, selected participants engage in hands-on training at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health care educational sessions, and support local initiatives such as community gardens and farmers markets. After their six-month residency, Fellows transition into a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to apply their skills in real-world settings, promoting food literacy and enhancing access to healthy foods in their communities. Applications are accepted until March each year for the May to October program, providing an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on food equity in the region.
