Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA)

The Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) program in Augusta, KS, is dedicated to providing comprehensive support and treatment for patients aged 13 and older who are facing cancer or blood disorders. Our specialized team, which includes social workers, physicians, nutritionists, and nurses, focuses on the unique needs of adolescents and young adults, ensuring that patients receive empathetic care tailored to their circumstances. We offer crucial services such as nutrition planning, fertility counseling, and access to trained Child Life professionals to enhance the overall experience and well-being of our patients and their families. As they transition to adult care beyond the age of 21, we work closely with adult Hematology/Oncology providers to ensure a seamless continuation of support.
