Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Abilene, KS is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture and food equity. Our program empowers selected Fellows through a comprehensive, no-cost education focused on creating a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Over six transformative months, participants gain hands-on experience at our farm, learning to grow and distribute diverse crops, facilitate health-focused educational sessions, maintain community gardens, and promote food and ecological literacy in local schools. After this immersive training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to enhance access to healthy foods and support local food coalitions. This fellowship not only fosters innovative solutions to food systems challenges but also amplifies the voices of those committed to promoting food assistance and healthy eating within their communities.
