Dr. Polizzi is a dedicated counselor specializing in addiction services, including alcohol use and substance use, offering a compassionate approach to those facing the challenges of addiction. Acknowledging that dealing with addiction can feel overwhelming and often resembles a difficult relationship, Dr. Polizzi understands how it can lead to feelings of hopelessness and uncertainty about the future. However, change is possible, and clients do not have to navigate this journey alone. Dr. Polizzi creates a therapeutic space that meets individuals where they are and encourages the exploration of a brighter future. With expertise in conducting diagnostic evaluations and providing support in recovery, Dr. Polizzi has a particular focus on 'Problematic Drinking.' Many individuals may wonder if their alcohol consumption has become an issue, grappling with feelings of stress or pain that may lead to increased usage. Dr. Polizzi works collaboratively with clients to identify the underlying motivations for drinking or substance use and assists them in discovering healthier coping mechanisms. Appointments are available on Wednesdays and through Telehealth.
