The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Rochester, IN, is dedicated to nurturing passionate individuals who aspire to become advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through a unique, hands-on experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows receive comprehensive training in organic food system education, specializing in diverse and sustainable agricultural practices. This fellowship offers a supportive environment where participants can collaborate with community partners to grow and distribute a variety of crops, implement health-oriented educational programs, and maintain community gardens. Additionally, the program emphasizes food literacy and supports initiatives such as farmers markets and direct-to-consumer channels to enhance access to nutritious foods. By eliminating tuition fees, we ensure the fellowship remains accessible to all passionate about fostering healthier communities. After a transformative six-month residency, Fellows transition into a Community Action Year, applying their knowledge while engaging with local non-profit organizations to make a tangible impact. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship taking place from May to October.
