The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Monticello, IN, is dedicated to empowering the next generation of food system advocates through hands-on training and education that champions social, environmental, and economic justice. Our fellowship offers individuals an opportunity to dive deep into organic food systems, develop innovative agricultural practices, and enhance community food accessibility. Fellows engage in practical experiences at the Allegheny Farm, where they learn to cultivate diverse crops, implement health education programs, maintain community gardens, and create food and ecological literacy initiatives in schools. Additionally, they will support farmers markets, mentor future fellows, and work closely with regional non-profit organizations during their Community Action Year. With an emphasis on making this transformative experience accessible, we do not charge tuition, and we invite passionate individuals to apply by March each year for an enriching journey that unfolds from May to October.
