Melinda Dubbs

Melinda Dubbs is a down-to-earth and approachable clinical social worker and therapist, dedicated to helping individuals become their genuine and happier selves. With a deep understanding of the complexities of trauma, OCD, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, depression, and anxiety, Melinda is committed to providing a safe space for her clients to share their experiences. Her expertise extends to the LGBTQ+ community, including those who identify as poly and kink, and she has a wealth of experience working with refugees, particularly within the Burmese community, as well as other immigrants, regardless of documented status. Melinda excels in working with young adults, teens, their families, moms, and siblings. With a focus on individual talk therapy, she primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), incorporating elements of art therapy, music therapy, and video game therapy to best meet her clients' needs. Whether one is new to therapy or has faced previous challenges, Melinda strives to listen attentively to each individual's goals and concerns, ensuring they feel comfortable and respected throughout their therapeutic journey. She aims to connect with the real, genuine person within each client to foster healing and growth.
