Richie Haines

Richie Haines is a dedicated registered mental health counselor intern with a deep belief that life and cultural experiences profoundly influence how individuals perceive themselves and others. He is committed to understanding his clients' cultural identities—encompassing race, gender, gender identity, sexuality, and class—and recognizing how these aspects shape their development. Negative life experiences can often lead to problematic coping mechanisms and distorted self-perceptions, resulting in issues such as anxiety, depression, shame, rejection, stress, relationship challenges, identity development, grief and loss, and matters of sexual intimacy. Richie acknowledges that our pasts are always present, often influencing thoughts and behaviors in subtle ways beyond our immediate awareness. His therapeutic approach offers clients the opportunity to explore their personal narratives, thereby uncovering deeper truths about their lives. Striving to create a safe and nurturing environment, Richie empowers individuals to identify, challenge, and ultimately transform maladaptive relational patterns. Through in-depth psychodynamic therapy, he facilitates a process aimed at alleviating distress and fostering healthier relationships both with oneself and with others.
