MOVE! Weight Management Program

The MOVE! Weight Management Program in Opa Locka, FL, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through comprehensive weight management and health promotion services. Our mission is to ensure that every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities is screened for obesity and provided with tailored support to meet their individual weight management needs. This program offers a range of services, including engaging group sessions, personalized telephone lifestyle coaching, and innovative TeleMOVE! options for in-home support. Veterans can also utilize the MOVE! Coach mobile app for self-guided weight management. For those who require additional assistance, we provide access to weight loss medications and bariatric surgery after exploring other MOVE! options. To participate, Veterans are encouraged to connect with their local MOVE! Coordinator or VA provider to begin their journey toward better health.
