Margot Escott

Margot Escott is a licensed clinical social worker with over 35 years of experience in the field of therapy. She believes that many individuals may hold a belief system rooted in past experiences and perceptions, often influenced by distorted thinking. Changing these belief systems is a cornerstone of her therapeutic approach. Margot has led numerous workshops and training sessions focused on The Healing Power of Laughter & Play, bringing a unique and joyful perspective to her practice. Her use of Improv Therapy includes specialized groups designed for individuals with Parkinson's disease, caregivers, and those coping with anxiety through improvisational techniques. With extensive training in addiction, mood disorders, therapeutic humor, and improvisational comedy, Margot empowers her clients to live in the present while building self-confidence and insight. She addresses challenges such as PTSD, anxiety disorders, and depression through various techniques including Mindfulness, Meditation, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
