Maria Bazan

Maria Bazan is a dedicated therapist whose therapeutic philosophy centers around genuineness, empathy, and acceptance. She creates a safe and confidential space where individuals can comfortably explore the challenges that affect their well-being, including coping with life changes, depression, anxiety, grief, and health-related issues. With over 20 years of experience, Maria believes in a collaborative approach between herself and her clients, focusing on their inner strengths and pathways to empowerment. Her professional expertise encompasses a wide array of specialties, including mood disorders, trauma, addiction, and LGBTQ+ issues, among others. Trained at UM/Jackson, where she earned the title of Chief Psychology Fellow, Maria is also a proud member of PsiChi and has contributed to various UM-sponsored conferences on topics such as ALS and cerebral palsy. She cherishes the fundamental trust and openness that form the therapeutic relationship, fostering an environment where clients can truly thrive and work toward living their desired life.
