Healthy Start Coalition - Jefferson, Madison, and Taylor

In Melbourne, FL, the Healthy Start Coalition is dedicated to fostering healthier beginnings for families by aiming to reduce infant mortality and low birth weight while enhancing health and developmental outcomes for infants and children up to age three. We offer a range of vital services tailored to support pregnant women and young families, including outreach, care coordination, childbirth and parenting education, nutrition counseling, psychosocial support, tobacco cessation assistance, breastfeeding education, and home visiting. Our program is open to all pregnant women at high risk for poor pregnancy outcomes, regardless of marital, economic, or immigration status, as well as postpartum women and their infants. To participate, expectant mothers can start by consulting their OB/GYN and completing a screening for Healthy Start.
