With over 36 years as a professional firefighter and paramedic in Southwest Florida, Jay has dedicated 30 years to serving others in high-pressure environments and is a cancer survivor himself. His transition into mental health counseling was marked by earning a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Hodges University in 2016. Jay has a profound desire to support fire, police, EMTs, paramedics, and first responders who face risks of PTSD and depression due to their exposure to trauma. He is committed to providing help for clients navigating the challenges of cancer or other medical and traumatic experiences. With a focus on narrative therapy and cognitive-behavioral approaches, his aim is to empower individuals who have encountered various forms of trauma. Whether working with public service members, cancer survivors, or victims of abuse, Jay is dedicated to helping people tell their stories and find healing through understanding and support.
