Donna Derossett, a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern, is dedicated to building a solid therapist-client rapport grounded in genuine acceptance and a compassionate interpersonal therapeutic approach. These methodologies are instrumental in facilitating meaningful changes in individuals and families' lives and relationships. Donna’s passion lies in helping others embrace their uniqueness, ensuring they do not allow societal perceptions to define them. Understanding that many people struggle with feelings of not belonging, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem, Donna reassures her clients that they are wonderful just as they are; they do belong. In today's society, challenges like anxiety, depression, substance abuse, grief, or trauma can arise for anyone at any time. Everyone deserves a supportive ear—someone who comprehends these struggles firsthand and has navigated their own paths through anxiety, grief, or trauma. Having experienced anxiety and panic attacks herself, as well as the profound grief following the loss of loved ones and witnessing close family and friends deal with substance abuse, Donna is well-equipped with empathy and understanding. She believes that the core purpose of counseling is to foster a deeper self-understanding. Her approachable and down-to-earth demeanor makes her an easy person to talk to, enhancing the therapeutic experience for her clients.
