Sara Jalbert-Downey, MA, MS, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor who believes in the innate ability of individuals to heal from life’s experiences, whether chosen or unchosen. She fosters a powerful therapeutic relationship, guiding clients on their unique healing journeys and helping them come home to themselves. With a focus on reconnecting with life, self, and others, Sara uses her openness, warmth, and humor to support clients in stepping into the present while freeing themselves from painful emotions and past experiences. She works with adults, young adults, couples, and parents, addressing issues such as trauma, interpersonal challenges, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and grief. Through integrative techniques that include narrative, relational, and mindfulness methods, Sara creates a safe space where clients feel heard and seen. Before establishing her private practice, she served as the Assistant Program Director of a partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient eating disorder program, and has extensive experience as a psychotherapist across multiple levels of care.
