Shirley Marie Fraser, a licensed clinical social worker and therapist since 2008, has had the privilege of working with many remarkable individuals throughout her career. Shirley goes above and beyond to ensure her clients feel valued, heard, and comfortable during their sessions. While she specializes in working with preadolescents, adolescents, and adults, Shirley has extensive experience with clients of all ages, ranging from as young as three to sixty years old. Her expertise encompasses a wide array of issues, including depression, anxiety, family relational problems, and the challenges of adolescence and adulthood. Shirley is notably recognized as one of the first in Connecticut to become certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), specifically designed to assist those grappling with PTSD symptoms. Additionally, she is trained in Child Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI), providing crucial support for families navigating the aftermath of traumatic events.
