Young Adult Services (YAS) in Norwich, CT, is dedicated to empowering young adults aged 18-25 who have faced significant trauma and struggle with severe mental health challenges. Our program provides a compassionate and structured residential environment for up to 24 months, where individuals receive essential support to build vital life skills. In partnership with the Southeastern Mental Health Authority (SMHA) and the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), YAS offers comprehensive services that include 24/7 care, personalized goal-setting, and practical skill-building in areas like hygiene, budgeting, and cooking. We prioritize the least restrictive approach tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring a supportive atmosphere that promotes health, wellness, and personal growth. Participants can engage in peer mentoring, recreational activities, and community volunteer opportunities, as well as receive transportation to appointments. Together with families and community resources, we aim to foster a sense of belonging and empowerment for every young adult we serve.
