Everyday Eats is a compassionate initiative dedicated to enhancing the nutrition and health of low-income seniors aged 60 and above in Calhan, Colorado, through the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP). Our program provides eligible individuals with a monthly delivery of nutrient-rich food boxes containing essential items like non-perishable protein, milk, juice, cereal, canned and dried fruits and vegetables, and cheese, all aimed at promoting a balanced diet. Along with these provisions, we offer important nutrition education and culinary recipes to empower our seniors in making healthy choices. To ensure easy access, we maintain multiple distribution sites throughout our service area, partnering with local agencies to facilitate outreach and delivery, especially for homebound seniors in Jefferson, Adams, Arapahoe, Douglas, and Denver counties.
