Beth Duren

Beth Duren

Buena Vista, CO US
Beth Duren has cherished life in the Colorado Rocky Mountains since the mid-70s, immersing herself in various northwestern mountain communities. In the 1990s, she began her journey as a therapist, working with a diverse range of clients facing challenges such as trauma, PTSD, teenage issues, depression, anxiety, and addictions. A significant portion of her practice focuses on grief and loss, as Beth quickly develops a therapeutic rapport that fosters healing and drives productive solutions in a supportive environment. Having lived in Latin America, where she worked with street children and organized a women’s center, she gained an insightful understanding of cultural dynamics. Upon returning to the US, Beth has dedicated herself to supporting both Anglo and Latino families in enhancing communication and building meaningful interpersonal relationships. Her empathetic nature allows her to connect deeply with clients, guiding them toward coping with negative behaviors and frustrations. With a strength-based approach, she emphasizes the positive aspects of progress through coping skills, integrating Mindfulness and Acceptance, along with a mind/body perspective that broadens the understanding of the healing process.
