The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program in Vista, CA, is dedicated to empowering low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, along with infants and children up to five years of age, to lead healthier lives. Our mission is to enhance the health of families during these critical stages of growth and development through comprehensive services including nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and monthly food benefits that enable access to nutritious foods. We also connect families to essential medical referrals and services to ensure holistic health support. WIC is open to a wide range of participants, including pregnant women, non-breastfeeding postpartum women, those who have experienced a recent pregnancy loss, and all foster children under five. Caregivers such as fathers, grandparents, and other caretakers may also receive food benefits for eligible children.
