Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program in Vista, CA, is dedicated to fostering healthy food habits and improving nutrition among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years of age. Our mission is to support women and children during these critical stages of growth and development by providing essential services such as nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and monthly benefits to purchase healthy foods. We cater to a diverse group, including pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers within a year of giving birth, non-breastfeeding women up to six months postpartum, women who have experienced a pregnancy loss in the past six months, infants, children under five years old, and foster children. Additionally, fathers, grandparents, and caretakers can receive WIC food benefits for eligible children.
