Dr. Susan Purrington understands that finding a therapist to entrust your story to can be a challenging and sensitive journey. With a relational and sensitive approach, Dr. Purrington collaborates with her clients to address their issues and work towards healing and personal growth. Throughout her career, Dr. Purrington has dedicated herself to helping clients navigate a range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and various emotional disturbances. Her extensive experience at APU's Community Counseling Center and Biola's Counseling Center involves working with clients across all age groups while also supervising and training pre-doctoral therapists. Dr. Purrington has also taught part-time at Concordia University and is currently a full-time professor at California Baptist University, where she teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses. She believes that these teaching experiences enrich her clinical practice and enhance her ability to serve clients from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. It is evident that Dr. Purrington is deeply committed to accompanying her clients on their paths towards healing and growth.
